She is a consummate businessperson, with experience that includes staff development, administration, recruiting, development, sales management, marketing, negotiations, public speaking, presentations, corporate training, and client relations.
Nancy is active in both professional associations and community organizations.
On the professional side, her activities include serving as:

- State Project Chair for the Connecticut Junior Women's Club, which raised money to initiate the bone marrow transplant program at the University of Connecticut Health Center
